6-axis FANUC robots
The system uses two Fanuc 6-axis R2000i-125L robots mounted on a robot track. Thanks to an additional (7th) axis in the robot control box, the movement of the track can be smoothly and accurately controlled, allowing all cycle positions to be reached smoothly.
Automatic gripper changeover
Both robots are equipped with an automatic gripper change function. During this change, the robot places the current gripper in a specially designed trolley, which is attached to a frame on the floor. The gripper is then automatically disconnected.
After changing the trolley with the gripper, the robot will automatically switch on and connect before removing the gripper from the trolley. In this way, the system checks that the correct gripper is connected to the robot, in accordance with the selected programme on the HMI. This prevents operator errors and contributes to efficient product changeover.
Before the units are stacked on the pallets, they are laser-coded and placed in a buffer for further cooling. Following the first-in-first-out principle, the units are then placed on the pallets from the buffer.
Automatic pallet traverse
The outfeed of full pallets and the infeed of empty pallets is taken care of by an automatic pallet-traverse. To ensure the stacked units are well protected, a sturdy wooden top frame is placed on top of each completed stack before the pallets are strapped.

The system not only improves the efficiency of the production process, but also ensures reliable, ergonomic and automated handling and palletising.
