Case study: Océ toner packaged using a versatile robot line
At Océ Robertpack passes its "ATEX test"
Océ in Venlo produces, for example, the toners for the professional printers of parent company Canon. The packing of the toner in bottles for the Canon varioPRINT 135 has recently been automated by Robertpack. Due to the many different operations this has been quite a challenging project.
Old situation:
Until recently 2 operators had to fill the bottles with toner. These operators had to make a sort of shovelling movement in order to ensure that hardly any mechanical force would arise that could cause lumps to form. Such a human movement is difficult to automate as a robot can't really feel such motions. Still, we managed to do it!
