In this installation, an industrial robot automatically picks up stacks of carton blanks from a pallet and transfers them to the next stage of the production process. The system features a Yaskawa GP180 6-axis industrial robot.
Smart automation by integrating existing equipment
Robotic automation does not necessarily mean replacing an entire production line. In this project, existing components were retained and integrated into the upgraded installation wherever possible. For example, the existing robot gripper was refurbished and reused.
The control system was also upgraded. By integrating the peripheral equipment into a new PLC-based control system, Robertpack created a flexible, future-ready solution that can be adapted more easily as production requirements evolve.
